Where in Reedley does Papi’s pick up?
Reedley calls itself "The World's Fruit Basket." It sits along the Kings River, was named for Civil War veteran Thomas Law Reed — who donated land for the railroad station — and incorporated in 1913. Downtown was rebuilt in brick after a fire destroyed two blocks, and the 1903 Reedley Opera House still stands.
Mennonite settlers played a big part in Reedley's early history, many settling around Navelencia east of town. About 25,200 people live here (2020 census), and Reedley College draws students from around the valley.
