Got furniture, appliances, or household goods you no longer need? Before calling for junk removal, it's worth checking whether your items can go to someone who needs them. Fresno has a solid network of donation centers — and donating first means less in our trailer, which means a lower bill for you. Here's a full, up-to-date guide to where you can donate in Fresno.

Tip: Donate First, Then Call Us

Donating usable items before your junk removal appointment directly reduces your bill since we charge by volume. Even donating one couch can drop you to a lower pricing tier. For what you can't donate, we handle the rest.

What Conditions Are Accepted?

Most Fresno donation centers have the same basic rules. Items must be:

  • Clean — free of dirt, stains, mold, or odor
  • Functional — appliances must work; furniture must be structurally sound
  • Safe — no broken glass, sharp edges, or known hazards

Items with significant pet damage, heavy staining, rips, or missing parts are typically not accepted. When in doubt, call ahead.

What If Your Items Aren't in Good Enough Shape to Donate?

Not everything makes the cut — and that's okay. Items that are broken, stained, heavily worn, or just too old for donation can still be kept out of the landfill through responsible junk removal:

  • We recycle metals, wood, and electronics whenever possible
  • Appliances are taken to certified recyclers in the Central Valley
  • We donate items we pick up when they're in good enough shape

Selling Instead of Donating

If your furniture is in good condition and has real value, selling is worth considering before donating. These platforms are popular in Fresno:

  • Facebook Marketplace: Best reach in Fresno — most buyers prefer local pickup
  • Craigslist Fresno: Still active, especially for appliances and large furniture
  • OfferUp: Good for mid-range items, popular with Central Valley buyers
  • Nextdoor: Great for connecting with neighbors looking for household items
